Fatal car crash during an Oklahoma State University parade

As most readers already know, a tragic accident ruined the recent Oklahoma State University homecoming parade. A driver crashed straight through the parade route, killing four people and hurting many others. The driver who is said to have caused the fatal car crash was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

The accident occurred as hundreds of people were lining the street to view the traditional homecoming parade. Witness accounts claim that the car was moving at a high rate of speed when it crashed through the throng of people. At this time, Oklahoma law enforcement officers are still investigating the accident to determine if the actions of the driver were intentional.

One of the four people who died was a 2-year-old. After the accident, at least 49 people were left injured, including several who were listed in critical condition. When a sudden, serious accident occurs, it can blindside a family with unexpected expenses and untold grief. Accident victims may be left with medical bills, rehabilitation costs and the financial impact from time missed from work. While compensation cannot undo the heartache from such a serious accident as this one, it can help a family and victims as they struggle to move forward.

A fatal car crash will forever change a family and impact others who were injured. Exploring legal options with the help of a personal injury lawyer can be a practical way for a victim or family to gain a full understanding of the legal options available. No one has to navigate the aftermath of a serious accident alone, particularly due to the fact that legal support and guidance is available during this difficult time.
