A woman, who was six or seven months pregnant, was killed in an auto accident that occurred recently here in Oklahoma. She was 29 years of age at the time of the fatal car crash. The victim was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by a 38-year-old man.
According to authorities, a fight broke out in the parking lot of a convenience store in Del City at just before 11 p.m. No details were reported about the nature of the dispute. When the man and woman left in their car, they were pursued by two men in a white Dodge Caliber. During this chase, the driver in the first car lost control of his vehicle.
As a result, the car struck a tree. It is unclear as to what injuries, if any, the driver suffered. There was no immediate announcement regarding the deceased passenger's unborn baby.
One witness said that two black men got out of the white Dodge car after the crash. However, they returned to their vehicle and drove away from the scene of the accident. Police are asking for help in locating these two individuals. Anyone with information is asked to contact Del City police.
At this time, it is unclear as to what or who exactly caused this Oklahoma fatal car crash. An investigation is ongoing, and the details from this investigation will be necessary to determine potential criminal charges and civil claims, including a wrongful death lawsuit against one or more parties to the fatal accident. Although a civil lawsuit will never be able to fill the void that has been left behind from losing a loved one, a successful claim may help the family alleviate some of the financial burdens that are often associated with such a tragic incident.
